In 1950 Rijksluchtvaartschool buys eight Noorduyn “Harvard IIB” aircraft. In fact in license build North American AT6a by the Canadian Noorduyn Aviation. These aircraft are purchaged from US pre-war storage and crated and shipped to the Netherlands. The aircraft have yellow paint scheme and black logo, titles and registrations marks. A little different to the “Texan” is a longer engine exhaust at the right side of the aircraft.
